In order to curb the menace of drug peddling in Doda Town and adjoining areas, On a specific information regarding drug peddling at Sadeeq Abad area, a Police Party of Police Station Doda led by Inspr. Sunil Sharma SHO P/S Doda and SI Firdous Ahmed and alongwith Executive Magistrate raided and conducted search of the House of one noted drug peddler Namely Shakeela Begum alias Taya.
During Search 01 Kg 125 gms of Charas was recovered from her possession. In this regard case FIR No. 159/2018 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act. Stands registered at PS Doda and accused Shakeela Begum alias Taya w/o Farooq Ahmed Shah R/o Sadeeq Abad Doda arrested on the spot.
On her disclosure one more drug Peddler namely Sheraz Ahmed S/o Niyaz Ahmed R/O Dessa Road Doda ( partner of the accused lady) was also arrested and booked U/S 29 of NDPS Act. Arrests were made under close supervision of DySP Hqrs. Doda Iftkhar Ahmed Qureshi.
Further investigation to know their links with other drug peddlers is going on.
