Medical Camp Held In Kishtwar,200 Children Examined(RBSK)

A medical camp was held today at Govt Girls High School Lass, Zone Drabshalla, under the guidance of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kishtwar, Dr. Gansham Singh, where more than 200 children were screened by Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) Team A of Block Kishtwar.
 During screening some cases of 4Ds were detected, which were referred to the District Early Intervention Centre(DEIC) at District Hospital Kishtwar for further follow up.

On the spot treatment was also given and free medicines were provided to the needy children, besides awareness about health and hygiene.
While talking to media Dr. Nazir Hussain, Medical Officer, said it was a routine work /check up of children conducted by RBSK team.

“A child is future of the Nation, So we must dedicate ourselves for the purpose of making him/her healthy and perfect so that a healthy, perfect and positive response could be expected from them in future for the whole society and Nation”, Dr Nazir Hussain, said

Meanwhile, The I/C Headmaster  of Govt  Girls High School Lass Drabshalla  , thanked the whole RBSK team (doctors/peramedical staff)for medical camp/Screening of children  in their School. Rashtriya Bal Swasthiya Karyakarm (RBSK) scheme is a sub scheme under National Health Mission (NHM) in which children in the age group 0-18 years are screened and then referred to the DEIC Centre.

4Ds mean: Disease, Defect, Deficiency, Developmetal delay. For further treatment/management referrals are made to the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) District Hospital kishtwar from where cases are further referred to District or provincial level. All the treatment and medicines are provided free of cost.
