Viral Video: Kashmiri students looted by Travel Agents in Punjab
A video was circulated on social media and reached to us have claimed that travel agents in Punjab have increased the fare from 500 rupees to 1200 rupees amid coronavirus fears shuts the colleges and students were stranded at bus stand, wanted to go back home.
While finding the video owner, Chenab Times contacted the student who made this video, Burhan Dar who hails from Kishtwar. In video he was seen with other Kashmiri students shouting against the increase of fare.
Also in video he turned camera to a travel agent who says, “Bhaiya Apky Liye Special Volvo Bus Mangwa Rahay Hain, 1000 Rupay Hi Dedo.” Students shouting, “Bhaiya Jab Kiraya 500 Ha Ap 1000 kyu Le Rahay Ho.”
In video, Burhan also claimed that students from Kashmir prefer Punjab safe for study but travel agents are looting at the time everyone is in fear of coronavirus. He urged government of Punjab to look into matter.
