A women from Nandana village of Thathri area delivered a baby in a ambulance in Doda district.
After launching the 108 ambulance 24×7 service by the District Administration Doda headed by Jammu and Kashmir Leftineuent Governor on 24th of March 2020 under Bharti Vilas Group as free service for the people, as reported by The Chenab Times earlier. The purpose of this ambulance service will ensure the delivery of public healthcare services to the patients at their door steps. Today, the patients residents of Thathri block had acute labour pain, en route hospital on Tuesday. They called 108 ambulance officials for service, where patients Rahina Begum wife of Sajid Hussain shifted to CHC Thathri with the help of EMT Officials. After check-up, pregnant women referred to District Hospital Doda associated GMC. But the way towards Doda around 2:20 am night, pregnant women delivering baby in the 108 ambulance vehicles.
Keeping this view, pregnant women were delivered her baby in the ambulance with the support of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) Danish Raja and Pilot Tehseen Ahmed who conduct successfull delivery, it was the first case in the district after launching 108 ambulance service.
Family members appreciated the efforts of EMT Officials and District Administration Doda for necessary arrangements in the district.
