Thathri, May 12: Electricity is much more important for daily needs of household. In Summers, it is more important because of hot sunny day.
Zea Abaad also known as Grid Station Thathri or Madan Chittar is a village in Jangalwar Panchayat of Thathri sub division in District Doda—located on NH244 borders Thathri town on east. Residents of the said area suffering from power cuts and low Electricity since many years.
Locals claims that PDD department had sanctioned a transformer for this village three years ago and the work started in which Power Poles installed near damaged school building of the said village two years ago. This was just ‘lollipop’ for the residents because till date no Electricity Transformer or even a wire not installed on these poles.
Speaking to The Chenab Times correspondent, a PDD Official said, “We have requested for many transformers for Sub Division Thathri but the process of tendering is still undergo. Tendering was started in March this year.”
While Poles were installed without tendering—shows that a lie is being told.
