On the last hope—common masses of Jammu and Kashmir who are really effected due to non availability of 4G speed internet—lost their hopes again. However UT Govt was already ignorant, now Supreme Court also broke the hope of innocents majority of people. Supreme Court refuses the plea to restore 4G in J&K & orders formation of a high powered panel to look into the pleas of the petitioners.
Meanwhile, a ‘traditional extension’ of 4G which was to be reviewed on 12 May, now again extended till May 27. Looting money from People since 5 August
On August 5, the central government amended Article 370 of Constitution and imposed prohibitory orders in the region. It also divided the state into the two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. While postpaid mobile and SMS services have resumed in Jammu, then in Chenab Valley and later in Kashmir valley but internet remains blocked. The Ladakh administration on December 27 restored 4G mobile internet connectivity in Kargil, after a gap of 145 days.
Since 5 August 2019, when the whole communication was fully blocked in J&K, the recharge plans for every sim never paused in the communication blackout—as mobile operator’s policies haven’t this option. Meanwhile, as per report already published on The Chenab Times, in the last week of August, calling services restored in Jammu and later in Chenab Valley. But the recharge plan for every operator remains same which includes 4G data pack also. People of Jammu and Kashmir forced to use the same plans which shows them 4G data but due to no internet—all internet data wasted. This scene runs continuously for 6 months till February 2020. As per details available with The Chenab Times, the Supreme Court on 10th January ordered the Jammu and Kashmir administration to immediately review all restrictive orders imposed in the Union Territory since its special constitutional status was revoked on August 5. The scene was not actually ended in February but 2G internet was restored firstly in Jammu and later in Chenab Valley, after some days in Kashmir valley too. But the recharge plans remains same as 4G plans. The mobile operator companies working in Jammu and Kashmir continuously looted people from 9 months. Many services restored slowly this year but 4G remain blocked till date.
The ‘Traditional Extension’ of 4G restoration date
It seems to be a traditional extension, as till date after the restoration of 4G—UT Government had extended the dates for restoration of 4G since March—there is new date every week. Last date for review and restoration of Internet was 12-05-2020. But it is again extended till 27-05-2020.
The Broadband Lie
Govt says that they have allowed the broadband. But if we talk about ground level, no new connection are being given to businessmen, journalists and others—replying with a reason that there is no port available now. This is observed in Doda and Kishtwar Districts which lies in Jammu division. The main operator for providing broadband connection here is BSNL.
Now, if we talk about those people who have broadband connection. They are being complaining since earlier that the speed of broadband is sick, and most of the times it remains closed due to line faults. Most of Broadband users facing problems.
The Government’s logic for banning of 4G speed is that it supports terrorism. Is 4G really a terrorist supporter?
Quoting a senior Journalist Asif Iqbal Naik says,
In simple logic there are 100-200 Millitants in Jammu and Kashmir according to Government and Government is punishing the millions of population due to these. 4G is also blamed for helping Millitants to escape during encounter. However, when an encounter starts anywhere in Kashmir, the administration block internet services firstly and then the encounter goes underway, and the logic goes ‘fuss’ here. But still Govt is blaming 4G for helping them. This logic became already illogical fact in Naik’s statement above that 4G supports them?
The Kashmir conflict is not expanding due to 4G. The terrorism spreads after the Kunan Posposra like things, it spreads after killing of civilians, it spreads after the youngest pallet victims like 19-months Hiba Jan and many more things. These things are used for brainwashing and hatered in the hearts of Kashmiris. And maximum of things and conflict is in Kashmir valley only. In J&K, whole Jammu division including Chenab Valley, Pir Panjal are away from that. While here are some OGWs who are arrested in recent days but they are like ‘drops in a sea’ and majority people of Chemab Valley and whole Jammu division don’t want these things again. Chenab Valley had already faced this in 90s. And the millitancy in Chenab Valley is used for terrorism and looting people here. It made only hatered among communities in Chenab Valley.
