Doda: Students of Primary School suffers after building collapsed 4 years ago

Govt. P.S Chabber, Zone Gundna is not functioning from last 4 years due to its collapse.
AISF demands again starting of this school

Govt Primary School Chabber is not functioning from last 4 years as this school was clubbed to Govt High School Malwana after collapse of building.

Doda: "How we compete with the students who will comes from outside with our rotten system of education here in Jammu and Kashmir" said Distt. President Sulinder Parihar of All India Students Federation Doda. He further said that first we have to develop an infrastructure in the schools then we will compete.

Sachin Kumar said that the school building was made by the contractor in not in proper ratio and then earthquake hit the school building leads to its collapse. He said that about away 50 children’ were studying in this school but after its collapsed the students were clubbed and shifted to Govt High School Malwana which is about 4 kilometre away. He further said that there is often a risk of leopards and snakes .

Another villagers namely Bharat Bhushan said that they had approached number of times to ZEO Gundna after their approach Junior Engineer come to the spot and assured this construction.

Nek Ram a local resident said that that after collapse of this building, the staff of GPS Chabber said to arrange a new building for school but the people’s were not in a position to fulfill their demands as the people lives there in only one or two rooms as they can’t provide rooms for rent. He said that the Kitchen was also damaged. He further said that one Deepak Lal’s son was stuck by a snake while going to school at Govt High school Malwana.

When contacted a teacher of the said school Basant Raj he told media persons that first the School was PGI centre and then upgraded to Govt Primary School Chabber & after this earthquake occured which damaged the whole building and become unsafe for children’s studies and then we along with students pushed to Govt High School Malwana.

District President AISF Doda Sulinder Parihar requested DC Doda, CEO Doda and ZEO Gundna to repair G.P.S Chabber and start functioning of the school as soon as possible. If any child of this area while going to school leads to death, who will be responsible for this? asked Sulinder Parihar.

Meanwhile former State President of All India Students Federation J&K stressed upon again to construction of Govt Primary School Chabber which is dysfunction from last 4 years due to damage. He appealed Chief Education Officer Doda to start reconstruction of this school.
