Penalties on violating COVID-19 norms in Jammu and Kashmir

To prevent spread of COVID-19, J&K Govt has authorized all Deputy Commissioners to enforce the safety measures & impose penalties for violating the norms.

 

The notification vide No. HD/legal/Genl/MR-14/2020-Part-I dated 20-07-2020 reads, “In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of Epidemic Diseases, Act 1897 (3 of 1897) the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir hereby authorises all the Deputy Commissioners of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to take following measures within their jurisdiction and impose such penalties as shown against each column to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
