Doda: Amid Boycotts, Thathri-B locals attended B2V3 with last hope

As various people boycotted B2V3, Thathri-B locals says "Submitting demands for last time"

People demands work on various grievances on B2V Phase 3rd at Thathri-B

Thathri, 4 Oct: Today on the occasion of Back to Village Phase 3rd, Akhter Qazi Collector Defence visited as nodal officer Back to Village at Thathri B panchayat of Thathri tehsil. He was accompanied with visiting officers like ZEO Thathri, JE Block Development Office, Social Activist Mushtaq Ahmed Hajam, Senior Citizens like Him Raja Sharma and other panchs, local residents of the area.

Locals here submitted various grievances to the visiting officers regarding Health Center, Water crisis, road compensation, free ration etc.

Speaking to correspondent, Akhter Qazi said, "Many people told me their grievances and I found, lot of unemployed youth are here, they also suggested me adjustment in the nearby Hydro projects. I will submit proposal to higher authorities regarding Rattle project which is supposed to generate 850MW electricity located in Kishtwar district and is nearly 5-6 kilometres from this Pyt. Many unemployed youth can be adjusted there."

"The floods and dust from the Rattle Hydroproject will effect this Panchayat and it surrounding whole Thathri tehsil, so I think these youth are more deserving for job in that project," he added.

Mushtaq Ahmed Hajam Social Activist from Pyt Thathri B said, "I am very thankful to these officers who visited here. As we all know, many people boycotted this program because B2V Phase 1st and 2nd works are pending. But we still hope for the last time that our demands and proposals will be redressed soon. Govt should work on the proposals submitted by the representatives of the various panchayats."
