Casting Vote is democratic right of every citizen above 18 years of age.
According to Constitution of India public is power and that power comes through voting rights but unfortunately very few people knows value of vote.
As per real picture on ground 30 to 50% votes are being buy from few chamchas of parties and rich candidates that lost not only intrest but purpose of elections.
As far as low turn out in my constituency chiralla is concerned it is because of neglect in development. Although weather remain one of reason in upper reaches but little interest remain a big reason.
Little intrest because of;
- Condition of circular road sunarthawa.The black top that was laid two months ago has not been only cracked but also washed out in many places.
- No permanent BDO in block chiralla from last 3/4 years and Office remain mostly close function from employees home.
- No permanent posting of Tehsildar/NT from last 2/3 years .
- No permanent Principal,majority of lecture posts are vacant..
- All other tehsil offices either not opened or remain close.
- No PHC center in tehsil chiralla inspite huge population and hilly terrain far-flung area. Many serious patients particularly pregnant ladies lost their lives or give birth to their babies before reaching Doda Hospital.
- No Bank branch at tehsil HQ chiralla.The public particularly old aged people have to travel 30 to 50 km to withdraw their 1000 pension in which they have to pay 300 fare. In spite of Sanctioned Khidmat center for HS Chiralla ,the khidmat center function from Bhella..
- No power Grid in tehsil chiralla.Power remain mostly cutoff in tehsil Chiralla.
- Besides above enlisted issues there are many other little issues like need of Repairment in all old phe lines and sanctions of new phe lines, Electric polls etc
- One more reason is Polling Stations were far from locations specially for ladies and old aged voters.particularly Amritgarh.Ghoru.Loharthawa,Desana and Pancharow in Pyt Suntharthawa, Zila Pani,Butt Pura, Nagal, Goeste Upper, Kralpura, Dhalla, Doveki in Pyt Chiralla,
- Another factor negative interest of elected representatives towards our Area.
In spite of repeated requests nothing has been done by authorities on above said issues that is why lowest turn out remain in panchayat sunarthawa, chiralla and almost in whole constituency Chiralla.
Moreover Some voters unable to vote in spite of above 18 years of age because there name was not in voter list.
Till we don’t prepare and support young, honest, energetic leadership from our locality nothing will be possible.
We need awareness of value of vote in our society particularly our coming generation s, speaking against wrong doing s, corruption, close vigil on developmental agencies, on spot objections on Devlopmental worksworks , and unity among all communities for development of area.
