First time in the history, administration officials walks 35Km on foot in heavy snowfall for redressal of the grievance regarding electrification of the village Gonuni Tanta of Kahara Tehsil. SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar along with Tehsildar Kahara, BDO Kahara, Manager Shalaka Electricals, AEE JPDCL, TSO Kahara, JE R&B and security officials visited Tanta, Kushathawa, Batogra, Goila, Trankel areas of Kahara tehsil.
According to official reports available with The Chenab Times, various areas of Tanta panchayat in Kahara tehsil are un-electrified. DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode held a meeting with various officials regarding electrification of this area on Monday.
SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar said, “Today we gave commitment to people that the electrification work will be started in the snow and first bulb will glow on upcoming 15th January in Ganuni Tanta.”
“During visit my car met with accident due to heavy snowfall but we left the car and visit these areas by foot,” he added.
The locals of the area thanked administration for starting this work amid heavy snowfall. This was the first time when administration officials visited far flung areas on foot in such a heavy snowfall.
