JKAP 6th Battalion organized a seasonal tree plantation drive with the aim to beatify the area in the Battalion Headquarter. Over 150 temperate zone plants were planted in the said area. In this drive some experts who have good knowledge in the relevant field were consulted for the selection of varieties of plants and climate of the area where the sampling were planted in both open as well as in the flower pots. In order to ensure that the sampling survive their responsibility was entrusted to the individuals planting them.
On this occasion Shri Suram Singh, JKPS (SSP) Commandant JKAP 6TH Battalion briefied the Jawans and officers. He added that with the modern pace of development it becomes imperative to show over commitments towards the environment. He apprised that tree plantation is the most effective way to mitigate pollution and everyone should be involved in it. He also motivated the Jawans to plant more trees to save the environment. On this occasion Sh. Aftab Ahmad Sheikh JKPS (SSP) DY. Commandant, Sh. Bihari Lal, SP Dy CO (IRP-2nd BN), Sh.Mohd Farooq Khan, DySP ,Sh. Manish Sharma, JKPS DySP Operation Poonch, Sh. Mohd Maqbool, DySP and other employees of this Battalion also participated while maintaining the social distance and observing other COVID related guidelines.
