The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah on Friday organized a one-day Legal Awareness Program on the topic “Victim compensation Scheme with special reference to Acid attack survivors and Rape Victims “in the premises of Child Development Project Officer office Bhaderwah here today .
During the day-long program,Member Secretary DLSA ( Sub Judge ) Susheel Singh was Chief guest on the occasion whereas CDPO Bhaderwah Nasreen Bano was guest of honour and Advocate Mohd Majdi Malik was resource person and all PLVs along with Anganwadi workers and helpers also participated . Speaking on the occasion Member Secretary DLSA ( Sub Judge ) Susheel Singh a victim of the offence can get compensation in India and compensation can be sought through the procedure established by the court. Compensation is awarded for material as well as non-material damages.
