A tanker driver died after a vehicle he was driving rolled down along Jammu-Srinagar highway at Nowgam area of Banihal last night, officials said on Friday.
An official told that a tanker (JK02AD-0969) met with an accident after the driver purportedly lost control over the vehicle near Nowgam. Fortunately the gas got leaked from tanker but not caught any fire, he said.
He identified the deceased tanker driver as Amarjeet Sing son of Mehar Singh from RS Pura, Jammu.
His body has been shifted SDH Banihal for Postmortem purpose, official said.
