To ensure the safety of the public, the Ramban district administration issued an advisory on Saturday, stating that water levels in the Chenab River have been increased, and this will lead to the spillway gates being opened.
An advisory was issued from the office of District Magistrate Ramban, as reported by The Chenab Times.
The spillway gates have been opened due to an increase in water level in Baghliar Dam, which will raise the water level in the Chenab River by 3 to 4 metres, according to the advisory.
It should be known that the general public is requested to stay away from the banks of the River Chenab.
