Kashmir’s Sajad ul Hassan has been awarded a PhD in Computer Science, won a Young Research Award

A Kashmiri scholar has received a PhD in Computer Science from the Sri Satya Sai University of Technology and Medical Science in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh, for his work on “An approach for word detection and embedding generation in a multilingual Corpus of Urdu, English, and transliterated Urdu text.”

According to a notification, a copy of which The Chenab Times possess, it reads, “As per University ordinance number 11 of 2013 sub para number 2.0 and after the completion of all the parameters to award PhD degree. It is notified that the Sajadul Hassan candidate have been found eligible for the award of the Ph.D. degree in the respective faculty from the date of notification no SSSUTMS/ CS/ Ph.D. / 2021 / 1071 dated 26th of May 2021.”

Sajadul Hassan Kumhar, who is from the Goosu area of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, is actively involved in research and has already published more than three research papers in reputable journals. He is an active member of the review panel for several journals, and his research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and Data Mining, and Python Programming.

The Institute of Scholars recently bestowed upon him the Young Research Award.

Aside from that, he is an expert in C, C++, Java, and Python programming. He is currently a reviewer for Cocurrency and Computation Practice and Experiences, as well as the Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Applications from the University of Kashmir in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
