On Friday, an army soldier died after falling from a bridge and drowning in a body of water in the Shopian district of south Kashmir, according to officials.
According to them, the soldier, identified as Arun Kumar of the army’s 62 RR, slipped from the bridge while patrolling near Sedow. According to a Pathankot resident, the soldier’s body will be returned home.
A police officer confirmed the soldier’s death to CT.
