A soldier who was stationed near the Line of Control in Jammu district’s Akhnoor sub-division was found dead, with wounds that appeared to be the result of a bullet from a weapon that was unknown to have been fired in the area.
An army Havaldar, who held the rank of army jawan, was stationed at Jogwan army camp in Akhnoor, where he was found shot to death.
“The police started an inquiry into this issue after the death of the army jawan,” the officer said.
