A leopard who mauled a 4-year-old girl to death was observed inside the deputy commissioner’s office complex in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on the night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
The leopard was spotted by locals and security forces inside the DC office premises, according to sources. The leopard was immediately reported to wildlife officials.
Meanwhile, a wildlife department official informed that a team from the agency arrived at the scene quickly, but after searching for at least four hours, they were unable to locate the leopard.
He said that the leopard’s footprints matched those found at the Ompora housing colony.“We spotted the identical footprints at Ompora housing colony, and we have dispatched employees at every hotspot to exterminate this man-eater leopard,” hee continued.
A four-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard on June 3rd after the man-eater took her from her house in Ompora Housing Colony in Budgam.
