Officials said a 3-year-old girl drowned in a stream in the Amad Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
Toiba Jan, daughter of Nazir Ahmad Mir of Amad Ashmuqam Anantnag, was identified by a police official.
He claimed that her family rescued her from the stream right away and transported her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
