On Saturday, three militants were killed in a clash between government forces and militants in the forest region of Nagbaeran Tral in the Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
Three militants have been killed, according to a senior police officer who spoke to the Kashmir-based news agency KNO. Their identities are being determined as the search operation continues in the area.
He said that the victims belonged to the Jaish-e-Mohammad group.
An official previously stated that a joint team of the Police, Army, and CRPF had started a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area based on specific intelligence about the presence of militants.
He claimed that as the unified team of forces approached the likely location, the concealed militants opened fire, prompting a retaliation, resulting in an engagement.
This is the second engagement in the by Awantipora district in the last two days, after two HM militants were slain in Khrew Pampore on Friday.
