NC Leader Jammu TS Wazir found dead in Delhi, Police files murder case

The body of a missing National Conference leader has been discovered in a flat in West Delhi.

Trilochan Singh Wazir, a leader of the National Conference, was found dead in a flat in Delhi this morning under unknown circumstances.
Mr Wazir’s body was discovered decomposed in a third-floor flat in Moti Nagar, west Delhi, according to authorities.

The case has been transferred to the Crime Branch since the police suspect murder.

Since September 3, the 67-year-old former MLA of the Jammu and Kashmir legislature had been missing.

Neighbors reported a bad odour, prompting the police to inspect the unit. They broke in after discovering the door was barred from the outside.

The cops were able to identify him due to a phone that was found near the body.

Mr. Wazir landed in Delhi on September 1 and was scheduled to fly to Canada on September 3, but he never appeared at the airport.

Since then, his family has been attempting to locate him.

According to the authorities, a forensic examination will show how he died. The politician’s cellphone is being reviewed for information such as his most recent phone conversation.

Two men who rented the apartment are being investigated.

Mr Wazir’s presence at that apartment is unknown at this time.

On Twitter, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his grief at his party colleague’s death.

“Shocked by the terrible news of the sudden death of my colleague Sardar T.S. Wazir, ex member of the Legislative Council. It was only a few days ago that we sat together in Jammu not realising it was the last time I would be meeting him. May his soul rest in peace,” Omar Abdullah tweeted.

On the basis of Mr Wazir’s brother’s complaint, the police have filed a murder charge.
