On Thursday, CRPF fire killed a civilian after the vehicle in which he was travelling rejected a signal to stop at Monghall bridge in Anantnag district, south Kashmir.
The naka party of the 40 BN CRPF was asked to stop at Monghall bridge, according to official sources.
“After the car refused to stop, the CRPF soldiers fired rounds at the vehicle, killing a man on the spot,” they added.
They stated that the person’s identity is being established. Officials told Kashmir-based news agency KNO that the 40 Bn CRPF deployed a Naka at Monghal Bridge, and that the Naka party attempted to intercept a suspicious vehicle without a number.
It, on the other hand, surged towards the Naka gathering. It was then disputed by the troops on duty. In self-defense, troops opened fire, killing one civilian. The driver, on the other hand, managed to get away. “The deceased person’s identity and credentials are being verified,” he stated.
