The Gajraula based Shri Venkateshwara University has entered into collaboration with the Delhi-headquartered First Aid Council of India to conduct certificate and diploma courses promoting the first aid knowledge in India. The conference held on Wednesday was attended by varsity’s chancellor Dr Sudhir Giri, vice-chancellor P. K. Bharti, registrar Dr Piyush Pandey and Dr Shabab Alam, the president of the First Aid Council of India.
First Aid Council of India (FACI) was incorporated in 2017 to promote first aid education throughout the country. In 2020, the Bhopal based Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi University established over eleven study centres in collaboration with the FACI. It has designed courses such as the “Certificate in First Aid Treatment”, “First Aid Specialist Diploma Course”, “Yog and Natural Treatment Diploma Course” and the “Jan Swasthaya Rakshak Diploma Course”.
