Yawar Khan from Thathri town of Doda district selected under the U-25 by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
Khan, a right-handed batter, played some fine innings in the U-25 trials and was selected for the upcoming U-25 One-Day Trophy in Hyderabad.
During trials, he made 160 runs in 2 matches, 79 runs in the first match from 65 balls and 81 runs in the second match from 75 balls at JKCA Ground Jammu. Now, he, along with 19 others, has been selected for the U-25 team. The trials were organised by a committee of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) headed by Brig. Anil Gupta, Mithun Manhas and CAC.
Who is Cricketer Yawar Khan?
Yawar Khan is a right-handed batsman hails from Thathri sub-division of Chenab valley’s Doda district in J&K. He has been playing cricket since childhood, but his first professional cricket career started in 2018, after he played his first Inter-University match in Aligarh. He also played in another inter-university tournament in 2019 and entered the U-23 team, where he played 2 matches in Aligarh, in which he scored 73 and 61 respectively.
It is pertinent to mention that he opened his sports club some months ago in Thathri town in the Doda district.
