DLSA Observed Constitution day in Bhaderwah

District Legal service Authority Bhaderwah organised a function at District Court Complex Bhaderwah to observe the constitution day here today. Principal District and session Judge Bhaderwah Virender Singh Bhou was the chief guest on the occasion where as Special Mobile Magistrate Munish K Manhas, Secretary DLSA Mudassir Farooq and Sub Judge Bhaderwah Sumiti Sharma was also present on the occasion.

While addressing to the gathering, P&SJ highlighted the significance of observance of constitution day and to acquaint the people regarding its prominent values. He said it is our responsibility to educate the people about values and percepts of constitution. On the occasion, preamble of the constitution was read by Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman DLSA Bhaderwah Virender Singh Bhou and pledge to the fundamental duties was also administered.

Speaking on the occasion Advocate Vibhu Sharma and Advocate Mohd Majid Malik said November 26 is observed as Constitution Day or ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ every year, which commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India. On November 26, 1949, the Constitution was adopted and it came into effect on January 26, 1950. They said Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, who became the first law minister of India in the Congress-led Centre, was appointed as the chairman of the constitution drafting committee in 1947 and was given the responsibility of writing the country’s new constitution and also threw light on the basic structure of the constitution of India. The function was also attended by staff members, PLVs and other people .
