A demand for creation of another new district Bhaderwah by bifurcating Doda district was made by Mohd Majid Malik on Sunday who is spearheading the campaign .There is a demand for a new Bhaderwah district. Shortly, a meeting of like minded organisations and people concerned will be called and a committee will be formed to formulate a strategy for a struggle in this regard,” he added.
Malik sought the intervention of the Dr Jatinder Singh Union Minister in PMO into the demand for the creation of a new district at Bhaderwah .He alleged that previous governments create new districts / blocks / Tehsils without any merit on political basis and sub Division Bhaderwah of 1965 was ignored and was not upgraded to District with a pre planned conspiracy.
He also alleged that some areas on the basis of six to seven Panchayats were made blocks and tehsils but Chinta Bhalra and Athkar area of Bhaderwah were ignored .He also expressed hope that people of Bhaderwah will teach a lesson to those leaders who never spoke about the burning issues .
