100 grams of charas recovered by PS Domana, Jammu, One peddler arrested

Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 100 Gms of charas from a drug peddler during naka duty near Sangrampur area in the jurisdiction of PS Domana.

An active naka was laid by police teams of PS Domana constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh whereby dedicated police teams of PS Domana led by SHO PS Domana Inspr Mahesh Sharma assisted by ASI Anwar Hussain rounded up a suspect coming from Akalpur towards Marh who turned suspicious on seeing police naka. On search, 100 Gms of charas was recovered from the possession of the suspect later identified as Narinder Sharma S/O Dev Raj R/O Sazadpur, Tehsil Marh, District  Jammu.

On this, a Case FIR No. 05/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act  got registered at PS Domana and accused got arrested.  

The overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma. Further investigation of the case is going on.

Jammu police is working intensively to find the source of procurement of drugs and where the drugs were to be supplied. Moreover, intensive questioning of the accused is going on to know about his other accomplices in the crime.
