15700 Aspirants applied for JKSSB Election Assistant Posts

Type Test (Skill Test) for the posts of Election Assistant (Junior Scale) starts; JKSSB to allow candidates to retain copy of Answer Script for more transparency.

The first phase of the computer-based typing test (skill test) for the posts of election assistant (junior scale) commences w.e.f. 14.02.2022 at NIELIT, Jammu (formerly DOEACC, an Institution Under the Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt of India), University Campus, Jammu and NIELIT (formerly DOEACC), Old Airport Road, Rangreth, Budgam.

Pertinently, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) advertised 110 UT Cadre posts of Election Assistant (Junior Scale) of the Election Department, vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020 (under item No. 96), for which 15700 applications were received from candidates. The aforesaid type test/skill test for the aforesaid posts is the first phase of assessment for a multi stage recruitment process for the posts of Election Assistant (Junior Scale).

Before being recommended for selection, successful candidates must pass objective and descriptive type written test examinations.

As an endeavour to further enhance the transparency and fairness during the conduct of examinations, the JKSSB has introduced the provision of duplicate answer scripts during the aforesaid type of test. The candidate(s) may keep the duplicate copy for future reference, while the JKSSB keeps the original copy.
