The “worst case scenario” of a brutal full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to US President Joe Biden, might still be avoided by diplomacy.
“There’s no doubt that Russia is the aggressor, so we’re clear-eyed about the problems we’re up against,” Biden said in a White House speech to the nation.
“However, there is still time to avoid the worst-case scenario, which will result in untold agony for millions of people if they proceed as proposed.”
