A three-story building in Bhagalpur was bombed, killing 14 people; the bodies of two women were recovered from the rubble.
A big accident happened in Bhagalpur, Bihar. A blast took place in a three-storey building here. So far, 14 people have died in this accident. Two women are also among the dead. There is also news of nine people being injured in the accident. Neighbors allege that bombs were made in the house. Bihar DGP SK Singhal has so far confirmed the deaths of 14 people in the Bhagalpur bomb blasts. After this incident, the SSP of Bhagalpur has suspended the SHO of Tatarpur.
The blast took place in the Tatarpur police station area of Bhagalpur district. 3-5 houses have been damaged in this incident. The building where the blast took place was only 100 metres away from the Kotwali. It is suspected that the blast was caused by a bomb blast. The three-storey building collapsed in the blast. After the incident, police officers also reached the spot. The debris from the grounded houses is being removed. More people are feared to be trapped under the debris.
PM Modi spoke to CM Nitish Kumar.
PM Modi tweeted and said, “The news of the loss of life due to the blast in Bhagalpur, Bihar is painful.” I wish the injured a speedy recovery. The situation related to the incident has been discussed with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations, and all possible assistance is being provided to the victims.
Illegal firecrackers and bombs were being made in the house.
14 people died in the police accident. While nine people are said to be injured, Bhagalpur DIG Sujit Kumar said, “In the preliminary investigation, there has been talk of explosions with gunpowder, illegal firecrackers, and country-made bombs. After the investigation by the FSL team, it will be decided what caused the blast. The injured are being treated at Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. A search is on for the missing people in the rubble of the house.
Prati Shekhar, former Deputy Mayor of Bhagalpur, said that the incidents of bomb blasts are increasing day by day in Bhagalpur. Police and FSL teams have reached the spot and are engaged in investigation.
The sound of the explosion was so strong that it was heard for several kilometres and people felt mild tremors. Neighbors say that initially there was a sound like a cylinder burst. But after a while, the situation became clear. 3-5 houses have been damaged in the blast.
It is being said that where the blast took place, there was gunpowder work. Illegal country-made bombs were also made. This business was going on under the guise of fireworks. However, the police have started an investigation. It is being said that the windows of many houses were also broken due to the blast.
