In a major emerge of the Aam Aadmi Party in Jammu and Kashmir, some rumours were going round this week that two former ministers were denied by the AAP from joining. The AAP leader also claimed today to have rejected two ex-ministers without disclosing the names of these two.
As per The Chenab Times, AAP’s first and only winning leader in J&K, Mehraj Malik, tweeted, “Aam aadmi rejects 2 Ex ministers joining in the party. People with bad image in public and thrown by other parties will not be accepted here. Jinse log tang aake aam aadmi party join kar rhe unke liye hmaari party me koie jaga nahin hai, Yahan sirf #aamAadmi raaj karega.”
Meanwhile, several prominent politicians are set to join AAP, as per the Daily Excelsior. It also reported that several prominent faces, including former ministers and legislators in Jammu and Kashmir, are likely to join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), while a number of others are in touch with the party, which is all set to make inroads in the Union Territory, where Assembly elections are expected to be held soon.
According to some political commentators, AAP’s strong showing in the J&K Assembly elections may jeopardise the prospects of other political parties.
Most eyes are now on next month, when AAP chief Kejriwal is expected to visit Jammu and where these major leaders could join the party.
