The Israeli forces on Tuesday evening attacked citizens and arrested a young man in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud in Al-Quds.

Israeli forces beat and pushed the residents before chasing them to the Wadi Al-Joz region and fired rubber-coated metal bullets at them, according to a Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation correspondent. No injuries were recorded.

She added that the Israeli forces arrested a young man, whose identity is not yet known, from Nablus Street in the vicinity of Bab al-Amud.

Meanwhile, the head of Hamas’s political bureau, Ismail Haneyya, and the special envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Middle East, Tor Wennesland, discussed the current political and field developments of the Palestinian issue via a phone call on Tuesday, according to ABNA24.

Haneyya brought up Israeli occupation atrocities in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and al-Quds, culminating in assassination crimes. The most recent happened in the city of Jenin, where five young people were killed on the eve of Ramadan.
