Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena politician, claimed on Saturday that the attack on NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s home by irate protestors on April 8 was part of a political scheme, and that those who staged the protest had the support of various political organisations, India Today reported.

“The attack on Sharad Pawar’s home was a conspiracy, not a protest strike.” “They can’t even call themselves ST employees,” Raut stated.

Sanjay Raut went on to say that something like this had never happened before in the state. “It was a pretty bad situation.” It has never occurred before, and it should never happen again. This is not Maharashtra’s culture. This was an attempt to disrupt the state’s calm, and the Mumbai police and the state government would deal with it right away,” Raut added.

When asked about those who were supporting the agitation, Raut stated that several political parties had aided such individuals. “However, these parties should keep in mind that feeding such devils would eventually result in the demons eating them as well.” “People need to understand that they, too, live in glass houses,” he remarked.

On Friday, the Mumbai Police arrested 104 persons, the most of them were striking MSRTC personnel, for reportedly attempting to storm into Silver Oak, the south Mumbai home of NCP chief Sharad Pawar, according to Indian Express.

The incident occurred a day after the Bombay High Court dismissed a contempt plea filed by MSRTC in a writ suit against striking employees, ordering the corporation to drop charges against the workers and reinstate those who had been fired provided they returned to work by April 22.
