Thathri municipality likely to witness no-confidence motion, as ‘caretakers’ of two female Ward members joined BJP

A major rift in Thathri municipality is likely to be held soon as the son-in-law of Ward member 1st and the husband of Ward member 4th joined the Bhartiya Janata Party at Doda. Thathri is town and municipal area in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per details reached by The Chenab Times, the joining of the duo was held in the presence of former minister Shakti Raj Parihar along with BJP’s Thathri unit members, including DDC Thathri Sandeep Singh Manhas, ex-vice chairman and Ward member 6th of Thathri municipal committee Gurukesh Gupta, BJP Mandal Pradhan Subash Kumar and others.

It is pertinent to mention that out of seven wards, Thathri municipality currently has six ward members only after the death of a member from Ward No. 5 who was affiliated with the Congress party, as per information available with The Chenab Times. The municipality now possesses six members, including Chairman Mansoor Ahmed, who fought as an Independent candidate, Vice-chairman and Ward member 7th Munwar Din, who is affiliated with the Congress, and Ward Member 2nd Asgar Hussain Khanday, who is affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party.
