The former Congress MLA’s close aid, his wife BDC Kahara, and Sarpanch Kencha Bitola and various others congress leaders held a close-door meeting with the BJP at Thathri.
In a major schism, Farooq Shikhari, Congress Block President and close aide of former MLA Inderwal G.M. Saroori, along with his wife Fatima Farooq (BDC from Kahara) and Sarpanch Kencha Bittola Jaffer Malik and other congress leaders, met BJP Senior leader Ashok Koul and other senior BJP leaders in Thathri town of Doda district on Wednesday.
According to Chenab Times sources, all of these leaders are currently associated with the Congress party, and it is expected that they will join the BJP party in Jammu in the coming days. However, they have not given any statement regarding their joining the Bhartiya Janata Party, but Chenab Times’ deep sources tell us that these Congress leaders are likely to join the party.
It is pertinent to mention that the BJP leaders visited Dak Bunglow Thathri and later held a close-door meeting with the Congress leaders of Block Kahara at the house of the BJP leader and Sarpanch. Most of the Congress leaders are believed to be close allies of former J&K CM G.N Azad and former minister and Congress leader G.M Saroori.
