The Pahari Core Committee has hailed the Vice Chancellor of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Prof. Akbar Masood, for launching the PG in Pahari and Gojri.
In a statement issued to The Chenab Times, Sadaket Malik, President of the Pahari Core Committee, an amalgamation of 22 dialects spoken in the Chenab valley, especially Bhaderwahi, Bhalesi, Padri Sarazi, and Pogali, among others, has welcomed the decision of the Vice Chancellor.
Mr. Malik said that the Pahari Core committee is committed to the revival of the grammar of 22 languages and other indigenous languages, and for this purpose, the committee has been successful in the creation of separate departments in JKAACL. The committee is in the process of the revival of the grammar of these languages and has an eight-point agenda which will benefit the ethnic inhabitants of different areas, especially the valley of Chenab and Rajouri poonch too.
Others who were welcomed include Abdul Khaliq, AM Bichoo, Dr. Javed Katoch, Ashraf Paristani, Dr. Ravi Parihar, and Shiv Narayan Singh.
