Umran Malik Makes International Debut Against Ireland For Team India

Prior to Sunday’s opening Twenty20 International match against Ireland in Malahide, pace sensation Umran Malik has been given his first India cap. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a teammate of Malik’s at SunRisers Hyderabad, gave Malik, 22, his first cap. Photos of Malik earning his cap were published by the BCCI. “A moment of realisation!!

Congratulations to Umran Malik, who will soon play his first T20 international match for #TeamIndia “The BCCI wrote the post’s caption.

Malik was picked for the T20I series against South Africa but did not get a game.

After a brilliant IPL season in which he took 22 wickets and dazzled everyone with his raw pace, he was called up to the Indian team.

Before rain caused the match’s start to be delayed by more than two hours, India chose to field in the opening T20I. Umran Malik was only allowed one over when the game was reduced to 12 overs per side, and he gave up 14 runs without getting a wicket.

However, after holding Ireland to a score of 108/4, India went on to win the game with ease. After Ishan Kishan provided India a thrilling start, Deepak Hooda and Hardik Pandya made sure that the chase went smoothly.

India now leads the two-match series 1-0 after the 7-wicket victory. Tuesday is the scheduled day for the second game.

India is currently ahead in the series thanks to Hardik Pandya, with players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant in England getting ready for the fifth Test’s new date in Birmingham.
