A 10-year-old child was found brutally murdered in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Wednesday.
According to them, four individuals, including three minors, have been apprehended in connection with the crime.
On Tuesday, Praney Kumar was supposed to attend private tuition in his village of Saidpur but did not come home. Shortly after midnight, a police official reported, his body was found stuffed in a gunny bag in the bushes outside the village.
According to Kathua’s Senior Superintendent of Police R. C. Kotwal, the boy was found brutally murdered with his mouth tape sealed and his limbs tied.
The officer said that the boy’s body also had injuries that showed he had attempted to thwart the murder, and that only the postmortem report will reveal the precise cause of death.
“Four people have been detained in connection with the murder, including the boy’s neighbour and major Pawan Kumar Saini. The other three are minors, according to Mr. Kotwal, who also said that the incident was horrible and would be thoroughly probed “.
Police stated that they believed animosity to be the primary cause of the murder.
