Shihab Chottur is the man who started his by-foot journey from the Indian state of Kerala to the holy Mecca city of Saudi Arabia to perform the Islamic pilgrimage — Hajj — in 2023. He became an internet sensation within days of starting the journey. He was mostly active on his Instagram, where he regularly posted reels with his location. He currently has 2.6 million followers on Instagram.
As per information reached by The Chenab Times, during the interviewing nights of Sunday and Monday, the account of Shihab Chottur got hacked, and the hacker deleted all videos and removed pictures too from Shihab’s official account.
Investigation
The Chenab Times investigation found that Shihab’s account was hacked by a person who uses Turkish as their default language for using Instagram. The hacker followed an account with the username @lukh where he posted a screenshot of Shihab Chittor’s account after removing everything and adding a heart display picture after hacking. There is only a single account currently whom Shihab’s account follows and that is @lukh. However, we were unable to find any other official account of Shihab to get connected to for more information.
Following the hack, some users took screenshots of the hacker’s email address and website which was added on Instagram account.
It is pertinent to mention that Shihab’s account was hacked some days back also.
Conclusion
We tried to reach out to Shihab’s other account, but we were unable to connect with his team until this report was filed. His official YouTube has uploaded last video on Sunday while there is no update posted in community tab of that channel regarding the hack. There can be something else also, but what we observe currently is Shihab Chottur’s Instagram account has been hacked.
