India’s 76th I-Day: PM Modi Hoists National Flag At Red Fort on 75th anniversary of Independence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today led the Independence Day celebrations from the ramparts of Red Fort in New Delhi.
The government has organised a series of events to boost the energy surrounding the commemoration of India’s 75th anniversary of independence, including the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

The National Hydrogen Mission, the Gati Shakti Master Plan, and the inauguration of 75 Vande Bharat trains in 75 weeks were all announced by PM Modi in his speech from the previous year.

PM Modi stated in 2020 that the project to build an optical fibre network connecting more than six lakh villages would be finished in one thousand days.

During his address PM Modi said, “I congratulate all Indians and those who love India on this Independence Day. It is a day to step towards a new direction with a new resolve.”

“During our freedom struggle, there was not one year where our freedom fighters did not face brutality & cruelty. Today is the day when, as we pay them our respects, we need to remember their vision & dream for India,” he added.

Our tricolour is waving in its full glory not only in India, but in every corner of the world today, PM Modi in his address to the nation.

Is it 75th or 76th Independence Day?

This is the 76th Independence Day, but if we are talking of an anniversary, it is the 75th anniversary.
