Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) today paid his first visit to Shree Machail Mata Ji Shrine after he took over as the Deputy Commissioner of district Kishtwar.
During his visit he was accompanied by ADDC Kishtwar/Nodal Officer Machail Mata Yatra Sh. Sham Lal (JKAS), NT Machail Manjeet Kumar,Xen PHE Ajay Talwar,AEE JPDCL Sudheer Sharma,Observer-Yatra Rupesh Sharma , Co-Observer Lovemeet Kotwal besides other officials.
During his visit, he also paid his obeisance at the Holy shrine and prayed for the peace and prosperity of all people of district Kishtwar.
Meanwhile he personally took stock of the facilities, quality of services,well-being of Yatries, volunteers besides carried out on-site inspection of langars and other facilitation centres established at shrine and at the different location.
He also carried out on-site inspection of Sanitation in and around the shrine and at Langer sites besides also reviewed the the security arrangements including the installation of CCTV at the Bhawan.
He directed officials for regular inspection of lodging, food, health facilities, sanitation and taking care of cleanliness drives at shrine and along the Yatra route.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed for the augumentation of the power supply in the area by installing solar system besides asked to improve the mobile network connectivity at the shrine so that Yatries feel no inconvience.
He also assured that execution works of on-going roads which are stuck due to some known reasons will be expedited in coming days so that lifeline connectivity is ensure in these far flung areas for galvanising the developmental tempo and tapping the tourism potential of these areas.
At Shrine and later at Base camp Gulab Garh, he was briefed by the Duty Magistrates about the various arrangements including power and water supply, sanitation, toilet units, street lighting, healthcare facilities, fire tenders,Traffic situation placed in for the smooth and hassle free conduct of Yatra.
At the Base camp Gulab Garh, DC took the day wise status of the Yatries arriving at the Base Camp and Yatries who have returned from the shrine after paying obeisance.
While interacting with the Yatris, stakeholders,Local PRIs and members of Langer management committees,DC Kishtwar also enquired about their experience of the ongoing pilgrimage.
He also extended his best wishes for the safe spiritual pilgrimage of Yatries.
BDC chairman, DDC member, SDM Paddar Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, Tehsildar Atholi Rohit Kumar, BDO Paddar Ravi Kumar and other concerned officers/officials also remained present during his visit.
