The Punjab Police claim that they have uncovered the method of operation and conspiracy behind the Sidhu Moosewala murder with the arrest of all sharpshooters in the case. One of the apprehended suspects has also been linked by the police to the actor Salman Khan murder conspiracy.
On Saturday, the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) claimed that it had captured Deepak Mundi, the sixth and last gunman, and two of his accomplices at the Indo-Nepal Border in West Bengal as they tried to flee to Nepal. The AGTF, Delhi Police, and Central agencies all worked together on the operation.
Director General of Police (DGP) for Punjab, Gaurav Yadav, said that Deepak Mudi and two of his associates, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder alias Joker, were apprehended in the vicinity of an Indo-Nepal checkpoint in the Darjeeling region of West Bengal.
With these three arrests, there have now been a total of 23 arrests in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Two shooters, Manpreet Singh alias Manu Kussa and Jagroop Singh alias Roopa, were also neutralised in an encounter in the Amritsar village of Bhakna. Priyavrat Fauji, Kashish, and Ankit Sersa have been named as additional shooters who had been detained previously.
Goldy Brar was the mastermind
Yadav said that after killing Moosewala, Mundi and Kapil had been living together and had been continually changing their locations in accordance with the instructions of the main conspirator, Canadian gangster Goldy Brar. He added that Mundi and Kapil had resided in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, and that Rajinder, who was already assigned to Nepal, had travelled to West Bengal to make it easier for them to enter the country and transport them to a safe home there.
He said that Brar had promised to use fake passports to settle Mundi and Kapil in Dubai. He said, “Both were intended to get their false passports in Nepal or Thailand, then they were to go to Dubai.”
Kapil Pandit Was Approached To Kill Salman
Kapil Pandit jumped parole in 2021 because he was able to attend his mother ‘s cremation, according to the results of his initial interrogation. He has subsequently fled the scene. He was detained for the murder of a local resident of the Rajasthani district Churu village of Bewad.
DGP Gaurav Yadav stated that Pandit, along with Sachin Bishnoi and Santosh Yadav, was asked to conduct the reconnaissance to plan the strategy to kill Khan. “It was then that he was approached by Lawrence Bishnoi gang through Sampat Nehra and Goldy Brar to carry out the killing of actor Salman Khan,” he added.
Pandit admitted that he had previously conducted reconnaissance with the intention of killing Moosewala on the orders of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to avenge the death of Vicky Middukhera, Yadav stated.
According to the DGP, coordinated efforts are being made to apprehend the gangsters who fled to another country. Gangster Sachin Thapan has consequently been taken into custody in Azerbaijan, and he will shortly be deported to India. In this case, the police have filed a challan against 24 suspects, he continued.
