A landslide hit a blasting site on the under-construction Kuntwara road of Kishtwar district, resulting in one person died on spot. The individual, who has been identified as Manoj Kumar of Tagood Kishtwar, was working at the blasting spot when the landslide occurred. The incident took place near the Chattarnag Hasti area.
According to The Chenab Times correspondent, the cause of the landslide is being investigated and authorities are assessing the extent of damage to the construction site. The Kuntwara road is a vital link connecting the Kuntwara area to other parts of the region and its construction had been ongoing for some time.
This is a tragic incident and the thoughts of many are with the family and friends of the deceased person, as per The Chenab Times. The deceased was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar for medico-legal formalities.
