Actor Satish Kaushik passes away at 66

Actor-director Satish Kaushik, who was popular for his versatile roles in Bollywood, passed away at the age of 66 on Thursday morning. According to reports, Kaushik suffered a heart attack while he was travelling in his car. Although he was immediately rushed to the hospital, he couldn’t be revived, and he breathed his last in the early hours of March 9.

Satish Kaushik was a renowned figure in the entertainment industry, who had worked as an actor, director, and producer. He had also written screenplays for various films. Kaushik made his debut as an actor in Shekhar Kapur’s critically acclaimed film ‘Masoom’ in 1983. He went on to act in several other films like ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Deewana Mastana’, and many others.

Apart from acting, Kaushik was also an accomplished director, who had directed popular films like ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’, ‘Tere Naam’, and ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’. He had also produced films like ‘Milenge Milenge’, ‘Ugly Aur Pagli’, and ‘Kaagaz’.

The news of Satish Kaushik’s sudden demise came as a shock to the entire film fraternity. Celebrities took to social media to express their grief and offer their condolences to the bereaved family. Anupam Kher, who was a close friend of Kaushik, tweeted a black-and-white picture of himself and Kaushik and wrote an emotional message, “Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”

Kaushik is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika Kaushik. His body has been taken to Deendayal Hospital for postmortem, and his last rites will be conducted later in the day. The entire film industry has lost a talented actor and director in Satish Kaushik, and his contribution to the industry will always be remembered.

Satish Kaushik was a recipient of several awards for his work in the film industry, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi as a producer for “Tere Naam.”

His death is a great loss to the Indian film industry, and he will be remembered for his contributions to Indian cinema.
