In a startling incident, a packet containing weapons was allegedly dropped by a drone in the Vijaypur area of Samba district. The police recovered the packet on Monday and found it contained three Chinese pistols, their magazines, 48 live cartridges, and four hand grenades.
According to official sources, the packet was discovered by the police in the Vijaypur area of Samba district. The police suspected that the packet was dropped by a drone and upon opening it, they found the weapons inside. The recovery of the “drone-dropped” packet was confirmed by Additional Sp Surinder Singh, who stated that a case has been registered with regard to the incident.
The recovery of such dangerous weapons has raised concerns about the use of drones to smuggle illegal items. This incident has sparked a debate over the need for stricter regulations on the use of drones and the importance of monitoring drone activity.
