Yasir Hamid Wins Bronze Medal at National Taekwondo Championship

In a historic moment for District Ramban, Yasir Hamid, 14, has won a Bronze medal in the 36th Sub-Junior and 5th Cadet National Taekwondo Championship held at the University of Kota, Rajasthan. This championship, organized by the Rajasthan Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India, witnessed the participation of around 1000 players from 24 States/UTs across the country.

Representing Team J&K, Yasir secured a Bronze medal for the UT, bringing pride and glory to his hometown. Yasir, who trains at the Martial Arts Club Banihal under Nayeem Masroor, has been consistently excelling in the field of Taekwondo. He had earlier won a Gold medal in the recently held Taekwondo UT level championship earlier this year.

Yasir Hamid, a 10th-grade student at Adnan Model High School Banihal, began his training in Taekwondo in 2019. His dedication and hard work have paid off, as he has emerged as one of the most promising talents in the sport.
