In a recent order, the General Administration Department of the Jammu and Kashmir Government has recalled three senior officers from the Union Territory of Ladakh back to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The order was issued on April 12, 2023, under Government Order No.454-JK(GAD) of 2023.
The officers who have been recalled are Mr. Mohd. Hanief, Mr. Tariq Ahmad Malik, and Mr. Manoj Kumar, all are officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service. They will join their new postings in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir once they have been properly relieved by the competent authority in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The order also states that the services of three other Junior Scale officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, Mr. Akshay Sharma, Mr. Vivek Rattan, and Mr. Mohit Sharma, have been placed at the disposal of the Union Territory of Ladakh on a deputation basis. These officers are currently serving as Block Development Officers in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The deputation of these officers will be for a period of two years or until they are recalled, whichever is earlier. The order also states that the lien and promotion prospects of the officers will remain with their parent department during the period of deputation. Additionally, the officers will be entitled to avail incentives as may be made available in due course of time.
The officers who have been placed at the disposal of the Union Territory of Ladakh will be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect and have been directed to report to the General Administration Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, for further posting.
