In a shocking incident that has sparked outrage, a man was apprehended by police for allegedly consuming alcohol while seated on the chair of the police station in-charge at Khata Kheri police station. In connection with the incident, the police station in-charge, Sachin Tyagi, has been suspended pending further investigation.
The incident came to light after a photograph of the man, identified as Imran, went viral on social media platforms. The image depicted Imran pouring a glass of alcohol while comfortably seated on the chair of the police station in-charge. Notably, the photo revealed packets of ‘chakna’ (savory snacks) and water bottles arranged on the table beside him.
Sources suggest that the incident occurred during the Holi festival in March when the photograph was captured. Upon noticing the photo, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada promptly took action by suspending Sachin Tyagi from his duties.
Furthermore, the police wasted no time in apprehending the accused, who was arrested a few days ago. Imran has been remanded to judicial custody after being charged under relevant sections of the law.
