In the wake of a series of unfortunate incidents in Kishtwar this week, a devastating house collapse in the village of Ajna Pullar, located in the Nagsini block of Kishtwar District, has resulted in the tragic loss of three visually impaired brothers. The incident occurred approximately 45 kilometers away from the district headquarters.
The collapse, triggered by incessant rainfall in the region, had left several individuals trapped under the debris of the collapsed house. Mother and the daughter were rescued alive.
The three brothers, identified as Ravinder Kumar (32 years old), Rajesh Kumar (30 years old), and Sajjan Kumar (28 years old), all sons of Soram Singh, residents of Pullar village, tragically lost their lives in the incident. Their mother and sister were fortunate enough to be rescued from the wreckage. It is worth noting that Soram Singh, the father of the deceased brothers, was not present at home during the incident.
These heartbreaking events mark the third incident of its kind in Kishtwar within the span of a week. The first incident involved a fatal accident near Dangdoru, claiming the lives of seven individuals. In the second incident, four members of a nomadic family were tragically killed after a tree fell on them in the Keshwan area.
The ongoing rainfall in the Kishtwar District has posed significant challenges to the local authorities, who are working diligently to manage the aftermath of these tragic incidents and provide support to the affected families.
As the rescue operation continues, further details regarding the incident are currently awaited. Authorities and emergency services are coordinating their efforts to ensure the safety of the residents in Kishtwar District during this difficult time.
